Meet Xena! This sweet girl, who is estimated to be about three years old, is officially ready to start the search for her forever family. She is up to date on vetting, house trained and crate trained. In fact, one of Xena’s favorite places to nap is in her crate. So, prospective families should feel comfortable providing her with that safe space. That said, she also enjoys cuddling up in her bed (or yours ) and she’s generous with her snuggles if that’s your thing! Xena is extremely sweet and loves every person she meets. She is good with other dogs, but prefers slow and respectful introductions. Cats are untested in her foster home.

Xena is very much a puppy at heart, but is super smart. She’s currently working on mastering commands like sit, wait, down, leave it and off. She LOVES a good squeaky toy and she is also good on the leash! But keep your eye out for squirrels, because Xena certainly will be.

Couch potatoes beware…..Xena will most definitely steal your seat the minute you get up. She lives her life by the philosophy of “move your feet, lose your seat.” She can probably be bribed to move with a high quality treat though.

Boxer Haven Rescue does not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. Potential adopters that contact us with an interest in one of our dogs are reviewed, and if they are a good fit, their application is sent to the foster family. The foster family then decides which family they will contact. It is our goal to put each dog in their forever… perfect home.
