ReHome FAQ’s
Questions and answers on ReHoming
-
What does rehoming mean?
When someone needs to find a new home for their boxer due to unforeseen/uncontrollable circumstances.
-
How does it work?
Submit a rehoming request, a Boxer Haven Rescue representative will contact you directly and collect information about your boxer, from there we will post your boxer within our volunteer group and start our search for a foster home. If we find a foster home your boxer will stay with them a minimum of 14 days, during this time your boxer will see one of our vets prior to being posted for adoption! There is no guarantee that Boxer Haven Rescue will be able to take in your boxer, but we will do our best to help you!
-
Can I have my boxer back if my situation changes?
Getting your dog back is very unlikely but, we make this decision on a case by case basis
-
What information is needed about my boxer?
All vet records, this is a critical part of your boxer’s future, we want to ensure that we don’t vaccinate twice.
-
Is there a fee to rehome?
No.
