Without fostering, there can be no rescue. Every year we save the lives of over 500 pets.

You can help animals that we would otherwise not be able to facilitate.
WHO WE ARE
Boxer Haven Rescue is here to help you. There are things that we don’t want to happen, but have to accept, things we don’t want to know, but have to learn, and dogs we can’t live without, but have to let go.
Boxer Haven Rescue was started in 2004 and is the oldest Boxer rescue in the State of Michigan. We are a 501-c(3) NOT FOR PROFIT organization. We are a private, all volunteer foster home based dog rescue program. We find homes for the Boxers that have found themselves abandoned, surrendered and homeless.
RE-HOMING A BOXER
At Boxer Haven Rescue we understand life can throw us curves, emergencies happen, jobs change, or our life circumstances make it impossible for us to provide for our families and our dogs. This sometimes means that a very difficult decision has to be made with regard to what is best for our dogs and our family. This is one of the hardest decisions you will ever make.
QUESTIONS
ReHome FAQ
When someone needs to find a new home for their boxer due to unforeseen/uncontrollable circumstances.
Submit a rehoming request, a Boxer Haven Rescue representative will contact you directly and collect information about your boxer, from there we will post your boxer within our volunteer group and start our search for a foster home. If we find a foster home your boxer will stay with them a minimum of 14 days, during this time your boxer will see one of our vets prior to being posted for adoption! There is no guarantee that Boxer Haven Rescue will be able to take in your boxer, but we will do our best to help you!
Getting your dog back is very unlikely but, we make this decision on a case by case basis.
All vet records, this is a critical part of your boxer’s future, we want to ensure that we don’t vaccinate twice.
