Remember Oscar, who traveled all the way from Kentucky to his foster in Grand Rapids, Mi? Well, he’s officially ready to start his search for a forever family, where he can spend the remainder of his life in joyful peace!

Oscar, a boxer mix, is estimated to be 10 years old. He is neutered and up to date on vetting. He’s crate trained, though he definitely prefers to curl up on the couch or in bed with a snuggle partner. But who can blame him for that that? Oscar has excellent leash and house manners. He has shown mild curiosity to cats, and is mostly disinterested in the resident senior chihuahua in his foster home. He does not prefer the young male boxer. So, we think Oscar will do best in a home with smaller dogs of a similar energy to his. We think also think he would prefer home without young children.

We’ll never know what led Oscar to the shelter in Kentucky, and what he may have faced before being rescued. What we do know is that this sweet boy deserves a home and family to call his own. Can you open your hearts to a senior southern gentleman?
